In celebration I think I'll have a Molson once I get off work. Seems appropriate since they've combined with Coors. Perhaps you could recommend a truly Canadian beer!!

Well lets see. Molson is now with Coors. Labatt's is now owned by European company InBev. While Sleeman's is rumoured to be taken over by InBev it is still all Canadian. So you can always have a cool Sleeman's Honey Brown.
Interesting fact, Sleeman's, Molson, and Labatt's were all started by a guy named John (John Sleeman, John Molson, and John Labatt). Seems cool, but also rather redneckish.

I found a liquor store that carries Sleeman's (only the 2nd one I tried) and I've got a 6 pack on ice! Another hour or so and I toast you and Canada!!

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
Happy Canada Day

I was just in Calgary last weekend, and managed to visit Kananaskis, Canmore, & Banff (Essilor's national sales meeting will be in Banff in January)- absolutely beautiful!
Makes me wonder why Quebec would ever want to disassociate itself with such a lovely land and people...
So, here's to Canada (and to Ice Wine, its greatest contribution to mankind)!
