Thanks everyone.
I'm really thrilled to take this position. I think we have had a really strong council in Alberta over the past couple of years, and I enjoy being a part of it. I'm honoured my fellow councillors thought I was a suitable choice for president and if I can be half as successful as my predecessors I will consider it a great term.

Thanks again everyone.
The thing I can't stress enough to any Optician, is GET INVOLVED. It doesn't matter if you live in Canada or the US are young or old, new to the industry or a veteran. I still consider myself a rookie, I've only been doing this since 1999 and I'm 28, I have a long way to go. I try to learn something everyday and encourage others to do the same. I have to give a lot of credit to those around me who encourage me to do better. Remember GET INVOLVED, even a little bit of work goes a long way.

Congratulations Jedi. It couldn't have happened to a better person, I wish you the best and hope that your term is one that opticians hold as the highest bar.

I may be a bit late, but would like to Congratulate Jedi and it makes me proud to be a member here, from where people have made to post of President in related fields. How has your month been as of now and surely you would be bundled with pressures and responsibilities, far more than you had earlier. Share your experiences.

Best Wishes

Freudian slip, 66. The AOA in Alberta is an optician's organization.

Jedi, I wish you well also. The job will have it's ups and downs, but in the end you and the profession will be better off for it.
