I am between jobs at the moment & in the Gainesville, TX area where I live, there are not that many choices when it comes to the optical business. We actually have 2 private OD's & 1 WalMart Vision ctr. & that's it. I am about 60 miles north of Dallas/Ft. Worth & about 25 miles west of Sherman/Denison.
I tried to stay home & be the "family person", but the optical business is in my blood & I have such a need to get back into the business. I have been in the business since 1999 & I fell in love with optics. I found something that I am great at & I miss it very much!!
So, if anyone has any place around me that needs help, please contact me directly for a resume & put OPTIBOARD in the subject line.
I have been ABOC since Nov. 2002 & I have pretty much done it all. I started out in a full surface lab, I've done dispensing, repairs, training, VSP, billing, collections, you name, I've done it! I've worked for retail & private OD's both. I would not be opposed to even being introduced to being a frame or lab rep. Anything, I'm open & always up for a new challenge!
