Anyone in NC willing to give me apprenticeship training in an Optical Laboratory? I went to school for 1yr for lab work, and didn't finish my second year(marriage)
After 21yrs I am still interested. I will brush up on anything I need too! I am sure much is forgotten;)

I can relocate anywhere but would like to see if I can excel in this first, and I can go from there. My work record is impeccable! and I work well in a team, and independantly I just need a chance.

By optical lab, do you mean surfacing and such? Where are you located now?

Yes, I do.......I am not sure but I think there are many aspects of the lab. I took tours of some labs when I was going to school, and it looks like there are finishers, surfacers, order takers, and assemblers. But that was 21yrs ago, I am sure alot of it is computerized now. I would be willing to do any of those jobs....! I am near Greensboro, NC

Call Central Carolina Lab in Thomasville and ask for Joey Jones. I've known him for years. He has a small lab and they seem to be pretty busy. Haven't talked to him in awhile. He may be able to help you out. Sorry, but I don't have the number in front of me but I know its in the phonebook.

Hi Frank,
Funny u mentioned that.......Last November I saw that firm in Thomasville in the OLA site, and I gave him a call.......He was a really nice guy. He told me he would give me a tour at anytime, and that I should give him a call in Spring. Well, this is Spring and I plan on giving him a call this week.
