Hey, wasn't there a contest to draw a picture of Darris? What happened to this and where's the winning picture? Perspiring minds want to know! http://optiboard.com/ubb/tongue.gif

There were 2 entries in the Draw Darris competition, one from Judy Parker and one from Jackie O. Unfortunately, because a friend and I were wandering the French Quarter, they were packed up with the OAA booth. My bad! As soon as the booth is unpacked, I will pick up the pictures and forward them to you for posting.

A likely story Judy. I think you were probably with Darris and Pete on Bourbon Street and the pictures are in D's brown shoes.

Actually, I was wandering the French Quarter with a dear friend, smoking stogies and spending money!

That's an easy place to do both, Judy. I hope you had a good time.

All I know is that, given her knowledge of martial arts and her newly acquired knowledge of voodoo, no one better mess with Minion Judy!

May I say...,
I saw the pictures and must say that although there were only two, one captured my personality to a "T" and the other (although caricature-ish) came out looking fairly close so some serious thought process had been taken for the rendering. I would like to thank both artists for their entries. You will be remembered in my heart always.

Darris, oh Darris,
After viewing the photos from Nawlins, I believe my drawing to be the "serious thought process" on paper. Must have been the pizza.

I drew a picture of Darris, cause I have seen him in person, and was going to send it under a fictitious name, but my crayons melted because of the extreme heat. Actually the glop of melted crayon looked pretty much like Darris' explanation of the way he felt down on Bourbon Street. I tried to FAX it in but the paper was so heavy with melted crayon that my FAX machine got all gummed up and it still won't work. I guess you will just have to be happy with the pictures that came in. Oh Well.

The picture I entered, was the best I could
do by discription, no real photo to go by. Yet now that there is a picture out there, see what we can do. Why is it I imagined you with a beard and older at that.
I think I will change professions.
