What progressives do you use when you need a 1.67 lens?

Ovation, Panamic, Comfort, Ellipse
Other options are the Gradal Top, Sola One, Seiko, ect.

Remember it is not just the basic progressive design, as the final design is done by the lab surfacing the lens.
Depending on how they choose to layout the Rx the same lens design from the same manufacturer can be produced with great zone sizes or very limited zones.

No shots fired here! I recommend Shamir Genesis 1.67 with a Vivix Stainless AR.
Ipseo if you can get it. Comfort, Gradal Top, Panamic and the occasional Nikon 1.67. In short corridor Ellipse is my preference.
Can only comment that the Ipseo works well, would love to try the Shamir sometime, who supplies in the uk?

Shamir have set up thir own supply in the UK, called Altra or something similar.
I will price the semi finished blanks and see how much we can do them for and will be in touch tomorrow.

Does the J and J definity come in a 1.67 index lens?? If so, what exactly is the rage over this progressive? Is it supposed to be so much better than other progressive designs..

My provider's personal preference is the Rodenstock Life 2 (smooth) for 1.67. Claims its visual properties & clarity are superior in plastic to others, though prefers Zeiss for glass. But in 1.67 index the Rodenstock is not available with photochromatic.

Never liked the Rodenstock lenses. I have just seen too many people who have had problems with it. Now saying that, the people were fit up by my associates at other stores and the people here fit up at other stores. So it is probably the fitting.

Genesis for smoothness, Gradal Top for myopes, Seiko for high-minus Rxs (zero drop to the corridor), Brevity in short-corridor.
I love Rodenstock lenses (as everyone on this board knows by now:p) but there are serious problems with semifinished blank supplies to most labs. And they don't make a 1.67 available in the US, to the best of my knowledge.

Life 2 is definitely available here in 1.67
But just wondering, how is the quality of the coatings on rodenstock lenses?

You can coat Rodenstock lenses with pretty much anything. Well not really Alize, because they will not let you, but Teflon, Carat Advantage, ect.
I have been finding that it is not as much the coating as the coating lab.

We sell mostly Rodenstock progressives and coat 70% with Nikon HCC and ICE.
We have tracked defects and "issues" (patient satisfaction with durability) and are happier with this cobination than any other!!

The high quaity of PALs 1.67 at below ;
1. The best : Varilux Ipseo Stylis 1.67
2. The value of progressive back surface : Rodenstock Impression ILT 1.67 / ILT XS 1.67
3. The budget of semi-finished progressive front surface : Varilux Comfort 1.67
But , I don't like the ABBE of 1.67 that only 32.
Please try to going for
1. Hoyalux iD 1.7 Eyry , ABBE 36
or
2. Hoyalux Summit ecp 1.6 , ABBE 42
Both of them are very strong for rimless frame.
