Hiya everyone,
I just wanted to move the conversation about who IS going to be attending the OAA in Nawlins, into it's own thread on the New-Improved-Lovely-Kinda Weird-All-For-Change-I-Love-The-Little-Faces-Optiboard. Also have we set a time and place for a group pic?

I can't wait to meet all my fellow 'Boarders. Just wait until all would-be artists get to see Darris in person...please no one stare or mention the facial moles or hunchback, he's kinda touchy about 'em.

I'll be bringing along my digital camera to capture the inebriation inherent to Nawlins Conventions. I'm betting the blackmail material alone will be enough to pay for my trip to the land of Beer and Beads.

Hey, Brady ... I mean Bradly .... I mean Brad G if you make it to Nawlins and see our Jay Leno look alike friend tell him I said "Hi".

Long time listner, third time lister.

Goes by Rex.

Of course I'll be there...how about a picture of the group on Friday about 5-5:30 after the last class of the day? We lose Diane on Saturday and she really needs to be in the picture...Then we can leave as a large and unruly group to find even more trouble in the French Quarter!

Hmmmm.....This must be directed towards me, but.....who looks like Leno? And who is Rex?

I will not, btw, be in Crawfishland as I am needed to run the salt mines. My next optical show will be Vegas.

Can I call you Smed....

The looks like Leno clue wasn't enough. You'll have to put your thinking cap on. Ask the misses who'd call you Bradly or Smed...

Three guesses and the first two don't count.

I don't know what the heck Rex and Brad are talking about but at least Miss Judy was listening...LOL

Friday at 5 works great for Darris and I, we have no lives and therefore will be there with bells on(and some clothes too, it is the middle of the day after all)

I like the "large and unruly group" thing as well....sounds like my kinda Nawlin's Trip.

P.S. We are currently looking for a selfless opti-volunteer to pick Darris and I up at the airport Thursday night about 8:30 p.m.
It's not that we're cheap, it's just that we're cheap.

I'll be there as well, but where are we meeting between 5-5:30 on Friday? This will be the "before" picture... I think the "after" picture at 8am Saturday morning will be even more amusing!

If I have a car (i.e., if I end up driving to New Orleans instead of flying), I'll pick ya up Darris and Chad...

I like Pete's idea too.....but I think if we are going to take a "before" and an "after", we need to take a "during" i.e....everyone meet at 2 am in front of a nondecsript tavern in the French Quarter and compare red eyes and slurs.

And Thanks for the offer Mista Pete, hope I wasn't too subtle in my request...lol.

BTW, who wants to pick the meeting spot?

OK, OK...how about the OAA booth in the exhibit hall between 5 and 5:30 PM. I'm afraid that if we show up anywhere else in the hall, the exhibitors might be frightened off.
