These are actual comments made on student report cards by teachers in the New York City public school system.

All teachers were reprimanded but, some of these are really funny!
Cops:

These 16 Police Comments were taken off actual police car videos around the country.

Thank goodness, in spite of the perils of the job, they still have a sense of humor!

16. 'You know, stop lights don't come any redder than the one you just went through.'

15. 'Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch after you wear them a while.'

14. 'If you take your hands off the car, I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document.'

13. 'If you run, you'll only go to jail tired.'

12. 'Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second? Because that's the speed of the bullet that'll be chasing you'

11. 'You don't know how fast you were going? I guess that means I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?'

10. 'Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh, did I mention that I'm the shift supervisor?'

9. 'Warning! You want a warning? O.K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket.'

8. 'The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not... Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?'

7. 'Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey crap.'

6. 'Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven.'

5. 'In God we trust, all others we run through NCIC.'

4. 'How big were those 'two beers' you say you had?'

3. 'No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to, but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we can.'

2. 'I'm glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of yours. So you know someone who can post bail.'

AND THE WINNER IS....

1. 'You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here.

Okay, but that's not the question/problem. How do you all tackle thick sided zyle temples when you need to correct angles, hinge is too thick to bend down or up. Do you grab a hold of the endpiece barrell and bend that? I do sometimes but I worry that it's too much stress and may make it loose in the zyle front. Tips? Anyone? Bueller?

At the retail dispensary that I work, we tend to sell progressive lenses in this order, from base-best:
SolaMax
Instinctive
Image (for our sunglasses, mainly)
SolaOne
Varilux designs (by request, only do 3 pairs or so a year)

((Note: we're a retail, so this is, sadly, our only selection. Don't judge me :shiner: )) :)

SolaMax is, by what seems like an order of magnitude, our most common selling lens, especially in Transistions this time of the year. Recently, there has been a big push from corporate to sell the new(ish) SolaHDv progressive lenses, as they are both supposedly hugely better, and hugely more profitable. We've had Zeiss reps down for presentations on freeform progressives, the benefits of Teflon (I prefer Crizal), etc etc. When we order the lenses, we have to supply the OC along with the seg measurement.

We've been selling HDv lenses for about a year now, but only at a rate of 10-20 pairs a month. I ran a remake report today and it shows that almost 35% of our HDv lenses sold are returned, half for doctor rechecks/remakes, and half for either another lens or an outright refund. We've spoken with patients who didn't return the lenses, and just about all of them seem really satisfied; the patients who return the HDvs, however, are some of the most dissatisfied progressive wearers that I've seen.

There is no trend in the five Opticians for the remakes, so I don't know if it's something we're all doing collectively, or if there's something wrong elsewhere. We all tend to use the same rule of "fit to their existing seg, or the center/bottom center of their pupil," which tend to work out to be the same either way. Some opticians fit closer to the bottom edge, some opticians (me) tend to at or closer to the center.

I would say half of our progressive orders are for patients 55+, with the other half being scattered through the lower ages (even some children!). About 65-70% of the remakes/refunds are for patients under 45 years of age

Any clues, or am I overlooking something very obvious?

I just dispensed a beutiful Ic! Berlin (base curve 8) polarized polycarb sunglasses to my patient in a perfect conditions. Then one week later, he came back and show me there is a long crack on his polarized polycarb lenses. He told me that his polarized polycarb lenses just crack on his face when he biked down from the Grand Canyon trail in Arizona-88 degree high on the mountain down to 3 degree below the ground level.

He sweared up & down that he never drop them, the polarized polycarb lenses JUST CRACK BY THEMSELF on his face. So I have to re-do the lenses for him.

My questions are:
1. Are the polarized polycarb crack when temperature & latitude change so great?
2. What kind of material will be better for trail bikers beside Polarized Polycarb?
3. I did check with the lab, the polarized trivex is no available.
4. What should I do?

Thanks for your help....
